To The Class of 1962
Just a note to let everyone know I will
not be able to attend the 45th reunion. I was diagnosed with
ALS/ Lou Gehrig's Disease in 11/2005. Since
that time the disease has taken its toll and I can walk
very little and usually use a scooter to get
around. My upper body is also beginning to go as are my hands.
We have a walk every year to raise funds for
ALS Research and have a website to show our progress.
Also attached is a picture of me with the
mayor of Tampa, FL. during our walk last year.
My wife, Kathy and I live in Tampa.
Currently our main hobby is working on our family genealogy
since
travel is limited and I cannot golf anymore.
We have a granddaughter age 5 1/2 and a brand new grandson
just born in 12/2006. My two sons are both
policemen in California. I have a lot that I'm thankful for and
memories of my days with you all at Strong
Vincent and my years in Erie PA. ranks at the top of my list. I
will someday return to Erie, which I have
picked to be my final resting place. May the reunion be a
successful
one and find all in good spirits and health.
Good luck to all of you.
If anyone visits Florida, please get in touch
with us.
